Lynbrook Senior High School

This week, Lynbrook High School athletes met with members of the Positive Coaching Alliance, a national non-profit organization that provides workshops for athletes, coaches and parents to help make school-based athletics a positive experience for all. The Positive Coaching Alliance addresses the stresses of being a high school athlete with a focus on students’ mental health. Additionally, it will give our athletes and coaches tools to help build strong relationships and reduce stress.

The first workshop with our student athletes took place on Monday with approximately 70 members of the Varsity club. The workshop, titled “Triple-Impact Competitor: Strengthen Yourself, Your Teammates, and The Game, included three main focuses: strengthening self, strengthening teammates, and strengthening the game through trusting relationships. The Varsity club members will be ambassadors to help their teammates and share what they learned.

The next workshop, Developing Competitors and Mental Wellness Through Positive Coaching,” will be with district coaches. #OwlProud #OwlCares
